Los Angeles, CA – Feb 22, 2010 — Optical Zonu Corporation, a leading supplier of Gigabit Ethernet and SONET/SDH Single Fiber, Full Duplex, CWDM (SFC™) Transceivers, Passives, and Testers, has announced the formation of Optical Zonu Europe to bring Sales, Marketing and Support to Customers in the Europe Region.
OZC offers a unique line of SFC Transceivers which are SFP pluggable devices that enable a significant increase in the amount of data traffic that can be carried on a single optical fiber. These devices are available to work over a wide range of data rates including Fast and Gigabit Ethernet, Fiber Channel and SONET/SDH. SFC Transceivers conform to the SFP Multi Source Agreement (MSA), thus making it easy for System Operators to replace their legacy dual-fiber SFP transceivers with OZC Products. These SFC Transceivers work in conjunction with OZC’s Optical Multiplexer-Demultiplexer’s to support up to Ten (10) Business Class SONET/SDH or Gigabit Ethernet Customers ON A SINGLE FIBER with Full Duplex Operation over 75 Km.
The Optical Zonu European Operation is headed by Dr. David Jenkins, who was previously Vice President of European Operations at OCP Inc. and Marketing Manager for the Agilent Fiber Optic Marketing Division. He is joined by Ian Richard, who has over 20 Years of Experience in Senior Sales Management Roles in the Fiber Optics Industry and Europe Region Marketplace.
