  • 8 inches deep single-deep 1U Front-loading 5-Slot version – J-Series
  • 14 inches double-deep 1U Front-loading and BACK-loading 10-Slot version – J-Series
  • 18 inches deep 3U Front-loaded 16-Slot version (+5 J type rear slots)- J3U
  • 3U Subsystem – The J3U chassis can support any module in the J3U family. These modules run from IF,L/S/C/X/Ku/DBS and Ka-Bands as well Ethernet/ SNMP and TTL signals. Both the 1u J-series and J3U supports hot swappable J modules. The module family contains both 50 ohm or 75 ohm optical transmitters/receivers/transceivers, power supplies, CWDM/DWDM, Optical / RF switching and combining, GbE switch with full SNMP and web server capabilities.
  • 1U Subsystem– An expanded 10-slot J Chassis can hold up to 36 50 ohm RF over Fiber modules– each can be either Tx or Rx, all are hot swappable J4 modules. The 1U chassis can include 18 RF over Fiber 50 ohm or 75 ohm OZ450/OZ510/OZ516 units or 9 cooled DFB transceivers (TxRx).

J-Chassis Modules

The 1U chassis is offered as a 5-slot front loaded or a 10-slot with front and rear loading.  The chassis can be powered via AC or DC pluggable power supplies that can be inserted in any slot.  Front panel LED indicators provide visual status of each of the inserted modules operation. Also, individual and the slot/link status may be read with granularity down to individual parameters (e.g. received power, temperature, etc.), using a USB connector. Utilizing a GbE managed switch JS14 (Ix SFP and 4xRJ45) in a single slot, enables remote monitoring (via SNMP, ssh, or web GUI) of multiple chassis via USB Hub (provided as necessary by OZC).

JACPS – is 100W 85-260V 50/60Hz hot swappable power supply that can be shipped with Country specific power cords.  More than one power supply can be used in a chassis to provide redundancy (N+1) and increase the total power delivered (especially for cooled transmitters), for direct modulation or external modulation.  The power supplies use a special current sharing feature designed to enhance the lifetime of the power supplies.

JDCPS – is DUAL -48VDC 100W (200W total) has 2 plugins that are individually hot swappable.  While both are in operation a current share feature offers an enhanced operational lifetime.

The J400 RFoF module building blocks (dual Tx, Dual Rx or TxRx) are based upon the OZ450, OZ510 or OZ516 products, and may be populated with up to 9 pairs of these transceivers or up to 18 individual transmitters and/or receivers (in a 10 slot chassis with single PS).

The J84 single slot enclosure houses RFoF elements from the OZ101 miniature analog fiber optic units.  Each slot can house up to 4 active optical components (e.g. 4 x Tx or 4 x Rx, or 2 x TxRx) each is individually hot swappable! The 5-Slot chassis can hold up to 16 individual, 4 J84 enclosures with a non-redundant power supply, supporting 16 OZ101 optical modules, and the 10-Slot chassis can be populated with up to 32 individual, OZ101 optical modules – front & rear loaded –  with 2 power supplies. Each RFoF Link from the OZ101 family (Tx on one side and Rx on the other) can carry individual RF signals from 30 MHz to 6 GHz over single mode (SMF-28) fiber optic cable and (multimode fiber cable are also available but limited to 3 GHz).

The J1600 family are cooled DFB Transceivers (these can be configured as transmitter only) they are rated as either 3GHz or 6GHz.

The JDM family of high frequency Transmitters & Receivers for X-Band and Ku band is augmented by JXMA family of external modulation transmitters and PIN receivers for up to 40GHz (for 60GHz capability please contact the factory)

Built in Redundancy

1:1 Optical Zonus 1:1  Redundancy System is optimized to perform from 20 MHz to 6 GHz frequency range. The system supports both 50 ohm and 75 ohm redundancy applications for 1×1 redundant configurations when integrated with Optical Zonus RF fiber optic transmitters and receivers.

Even though the RF Splitter is a passive device it has a unit identifier so the SNMP management system can recognize it.

1:N Optical Zonus 1:N  Redundancy System is optimized to perform in 1:2 and 1:4 system from 20 MHz to 6 GHz frequency range. This feature simulate standard RF architecture for 1:2 and 1:4 redundancy allowing for a single Transmitter or Receive to back-up the system. Optical Zonus redundant system also employs both optical and RF redundancy thus eliminating the need for a dedicated communication link between the chassis’ in the event of a unit failure.  The system supports both 50 ohm and 75 ohm redundancy applications for 1xN redundant configurations when integrated with Optical Zonus RF fiber optic transmitters and receivers.

Even though the RF Splitter is a passive device it has a unit identifier so the SNMP management system can recognize it.

Site diversity

Optical Zonus Site Diversity System allows for Fiber path redundancy with protection by monitoring the incoming optical power at the receive end switch. Switching will only occur at a present optical input and not just a complete loss of optical signal. This serves a path monitoring tool so the choice to manually switch to the back-up fiber path so maintenance can be performed on the primary path during a scheduled maintenance window.

OZJ400/OZJ800

Individual J-Modules are housed in J-Slots which can be used as standalone remote units. Each remote J-Slot enclosure can accept a single module, hence can be configured as a transceiver, receiver or individual transmitter. Also, it may hold up to 2 transmitters or 2 receivers. The remote J-Slot Enclosure is powered by DC +12 V power supplies (other DC supply inputs are available). Complex alarm functions are available via the micro USB connector and the front panel LED indicators provide visual indication of link status. J800 Series REMOTE SLOT ENCLOSURE Individual J-Modules are housed in J-Slots which can be used as standalone remote units. Each remote J-Slot enclosure can accept a single module, hence can be configured as a transceiver, receiver or individual transmitter. The J800 Series remote module can hold up to 4 transmitters or 4 receivers or any combination there—off each can be individually hot swapped. The remote J-Slot enclosure is powered by DC +12 V power supplies. Complex alarm functions are available via the micro USB connector and the front panel LED indicators provide visual indication of link status.
